an important update on rei adventure travelrei has decided to exit its experiences business, including adventure travel, day tours, and classes. if you currently have a booking with us, please refer to the faq below for additional details and next steps. see faq a thank you to our rei memberswe have made the decision to close rei adventures so that the co-op can focus on its core retail business. our final trips will run through mid-january as we begin shutting down operations.for those who entrusted us with your travel plans for 2025 and 2026, we will be in touch directly via email. please also refer to the detailed faqs below that will help address questions about your booking.it has been our great privilege to host thousands of travelers on rei adventures over nearly 40 years. from mountain peaks to meandering rivers, we’ve been proud to enable meaningful outdoor moments in iconic destinations for people of all skill levels and interests. we’ve been delighted to help members achieve so much on our trips: camp or backpack for the first time, summit a long-sought peak, test their mettle on a mountain bike or paddle further than ever before. thank you for allowing our guides to support your deeply personal moments, including birthdays, family connections, graduations, celebrations of life, and so much more. we’ve been proud to share the natural places we love and why it’s important to take care of them for generations to come. thank you for letting rei be your guide.it has been, truly, a great adventure. thank you,rei experiences adventures customer faq what happens to my current booking? all bookings for rei adventure trips departing on or after january 15, 2025, will be cancelled. refunds will be issued to the original form of payment. what trips/dates are affected? all trips scheduled to depart january 15, 2025, or later will be cancelled. how will i receive my refund? refunds will be issued to the original form of payment. an invoice will be sent to the bill-to email address once the refund has been processed. if any portion of your invoice was paid with an rei gift card, that amount will be refunded as an rei digital gift card and sent to the bill-to email address. refunds may take up to 14 days to be received. if any portion of your booking was purchased using your rei member reward, the amount of your reward will be refunded in the form of a check. i purchased insurance through tripassure. what do i do next? to speak with someone about your policy, or to request a refund of your premiums e-mail info@tripassure.com, and reference the enrollment id located in your enrollment confirmation email from info@tripassure.com. i booked flights or other travel arrangements. what can i expect? please work directly with your travel supplier(s) to modify or cancel any other pre-booked travel plans. they are best equipped to support you with managing your reservation(s). if you have purchased travel insurance, please contact your provider to see if you can file a claim. i booked additional hotel nights at the rei-recommended host hotel. will they honor a refund since rei cancelled my trip? please work directly with the hotel to modify or cancel any pre- or post-trip reservations. they are best equipped to support you with managing your reservation(s). will any programs or trips continue to be offered? in-store workshops, presentations and events are still offered. for more information, visit rei.com/events. i paid for my rei adventures trip with the rei co-op mastercard. will i still receive the 5% rebate? if you booked a trip with rei that was refunded as part of the cancellations, rei will honor the 5% card rewards for the refunded trip by reissuing them to your card rewards balance in the coming weeks. rei will also honor the $50 annual statement credit you received as an rei co-op mastercard member. the $50 annual statement credit benefit will continue to be available on rei classes hosted in stores; please visit rei.com/events to browse those offerings. i used my rei rewards to pay for part or all of my trip. what will happen to those rewards? if any portion of your booking was purchased using your rei co-op reward or rei mastercard rewards, the amount of your reward will be refunded in the form of a check mailed to the address on file with rei adventures by march 16, 2025. can i still access my online traveler profile to view the trip details, invoice, etc.? access to the online traveler profile will no longer be available once your booking has been cancelled. the trip i was booked on required a unique permit. can i have the permit re-issued to me directly if i still wish to travel on my own? no. permits originally acquired by rei are not transferrable to individuals nor other organizations.
