oxford hotel hotel near bugis,singapore 4.1% of visitors choose this area g guest user 2023.02.14 after seeing some of these reviews, i was somewhat apprehensive about booking this place. i needed a place for a couple of nights at the end of my latest 7 week trip and thought i'd take a chance. over the last 20 years, i've stayed at almost all of the bencoolen area hotels and most have gone downhill precipitously. when i checked in, i was met by 2 very friendly front desk employees (james and firdaus, as it turned out). i knew they had lots of rooms available so i asked them if they would please give me a really good one; well, they did. it was fairly large, quite clean and very quiet. the bed was clean and comfortable, the shower was hot and worked well, the few electrical outlets were functional. and the central a/c was comfy. the included fridge was old but cold and chilled my way overpriced singapore beer to perfection. i would recommend this place and would certainly never hesitate to stay here again. this area is where i always stay and i think it's the best although others may differ. if i ran this place, i'd buy the housekeeping team a couple of vacuum cleaners. other than that, i wouldn't do much different. as for james and firdaus, they certainly treated me fairly and their hospitality was excellent throughout my stay. show more 131 reviews 3.7 /5 price from us$63 per nignt check availability
