4.2/5 very good g guest user lovely groups and views. comfortable bed and reasonable sized room, but the shower curtain was smelly, and we had to ask for it to be changed. it took several phone calls and nearly an hour before someone came and changed it. breakfast was quite good, but no eggs benedict offered, which was disappointing. unfortunately, the pool was packed with children and families who didn't appear to be stating at the hotel, and the timings for adults only swimming were before breakfast and after dinner. i did not consider this a proper 5-star hotel facility since it seemed less private and more public baths. having seen how busy the golf was, i felt maybe this isn't a private membership golf and spa hotel anymore. all in all, i did have a comfortable stay but found the hotel not private enough to make it a special experience, which is what i expected for the price and given its previous reputation in the community and in reviews. show more dalmahoy hotel & country clubhotel near edinburgh airport area, edinburgh 10.1% of visitors choose this area price per night from: us$94
