Day 1. Welcome to Buenos Aires!
Arrive in breathtaking Buenos Aires! Enjoy a comfortable transfer to your luxurious accommodation, then take your time relaxing and settling in. Tonight, treat yourself to your first (of many) authentic Argentinian empanada. These delicious pocket pastries come either deep-fried or baked, and are then filled with a sweet and/or savory stuffing. Empanada flavors can range from a dulce de leche dessert to a savory snack of ground beef and vegetables!
Spend the evening getting to know the city. You may want to stroll down the cultured neighborhood of Recoleta, lined with fashionable boutiques, galleries, cafes, and French-style buildings. Watch your first Argentinian sunset in one of the areas beautiful parks or plazas!
Recoleta is also home to a legendary cemetery, famous for being a mysterious labyrinth of gorgeous mausoleums belonging to the city's rich and powerful families. Although visiting a cemetery may not seem like the first thing you'd do on vacation, this one shouldn't be missed!

From San Telmo to La Boca to Recoleta to the Plaza De Mayo, you'll see it all today.
If time allows, head to the lush Palermo neighborhood. This gorgeous green area subdivides into smaller districts: Palermo Chico, Palermo Viejo, Palermo Soho, Palermo Hollywood, and Las Canitas. The entire neighborhood, designed by French landscape architect Charles Thays, consists of 350 acres of wooded parks and sparkling lakes - the perfect escape from the bustle of downtown. You'll definitely want to find the striking Japanese Garden, filled with traditional Japanese bridges and sculptures. Around Palermo, there are tons of picnic spots, so be sure to pack some goodies!
In the evening, put on your dancing shoes and get ready for an unforgettable experience! You'll be treated to a decadent dinner and a tango show at a historic tango house. Watch a spectacle of lively tradition while eating and drinking local specialties.
Buenos Aires City Tour including stop at Café Tortoni (5 hours)
Get in touch with the birth city of the Tango! Your city tour starts with a drive along 9 de Julio Avenue, the widest avenue of the world. Pass by the Colon Theatre, one of the world's best known opera houses and the cultural pride of the "portenos" (as the inhabitants of Buenos Aires are called).
Continue on to the famous Avenida de Mayo that runs into the Plaza De Mayo, surrounded by the Casa Rosada (Government House), the Metropolitan Cathedral, and the Cabildo (first City Hall, built during Spanish rule). At the other end of Avenida de Mayo the cupola of the Congress building can be seen.
Next, step inside and explore the Neo-classical Metropolitan Cathedral, Argentina´s main catholic building. The mausoleum of General San Martin (our National Hero) is located inside the Cathedral, and Pope Francisco used to celebrate religious services in this Cathedral when he was cardinal of Buenos Aires city.
After a day of exploring, it's time for a break! Enjoy a stop at the famous Cafe Tortoni, Buenos Aires' oldest literati cafe, where you'll unwind with a cup of coffee and snack.
Now you'll visit the historic San Telmo neighborhood, the oldest district of Buenos Aires. Here you may have some time to stroll around Plaza Dorrego with its many antique shops
The adventure continues onto the colorful area of La Boca, and its famous street Caminito. Continue to the north area driving to Palermo, the green area of the city with its beautiful parks and artificial lakes. Here you'll also find the City Zoo, Botanical Garden, Argentine Horse Track, and National Polo Fields. At the end of the tour you will visit Recoleta area, one of the city’s most glamorous spots. Recoleta is home to elegant boutiques and restaurants, as well as the Recoleta cemetery.
The cemetery is the center of this aristocratic neighborhood, and the final resting of some of Argentina's most iconic personalities. The mausoleums and pantheons reflect the architectural diversity emerging from the different cultural tendencies Argentina incorporated in its formation as a nation. The cemetery is considered to be one of the most impressive monuments of Argentina. You'll spend about 30 minutes exploring, including a visit to Eva Duarte`s grave, known as Eva Peron (Evita).
Dinner & Tango Show at El Viejo Almacen (with transfers)
Experience the soul of Buenos Aires at a tango show with dinner! The Tango tradition started at the end of the 19th century, and developed out of a mixture of various rhythms, which were originally danced in the poorer neighborhoods.

Spend the day exploring Argentina's breathtaking coast. First, stop at the village of Puerto Piramides, a known whale-watching hot spot. Continue driving south and arrive at Punta Delgada, a beach haven for sea elephants all year round! Venture on to Punta Cantor and enjoy spectacular views of Caleta Valdes and the rest of the majestic peninsula. As you travel back on the Istmo Ameghino, keep an eye out for wild fauna, such as guanacos, rheas, foxes, maras, armadillos, choiques, and many more.
Day 5. Puerto Madryn - Ushuaia
Wave goodbye to Puerto Madryn and get ready to go south - really south - like, the southernmost city in the world, south. After a couple transfers and a quick flight, you'll be in the unique city of Ushuaia!

Appreciate sparkling lakes, turquoise lagoons, and rushing rivers at this unbelievably gorgeous national park. On your way there, you'll head southwest, passing the slope of Susana Mount. Continue through the valley to Esenada Bay, where you'll be able to spot the Redonda and Estorbo Islands on the other coast of the Beagle Channel, the snow-white mountains of the Sampaio Chain in Chile.
Once you reach the forst, you will go to Lago Roca and hike by the lake coast and the Lapataia River. From this point, you'll be able to see Condor Hill, Argentina's natural border with Chile. On the way to Lapataia Bay, you'll be able to observe the Green Lagoon and the Black Lagoon, a large growing peat bog. On the shores of the bay, look out for steamer ducks, clovers, and cauquenes. Keep your eyes open for beaver dams and wildlife as you follow the path to Lapataia Bay!
Day 7. Ushuaia - Buenos Aires
Enjoy a pleasant breakfast, then take one last look at the land during your drive to the airport. Jet off to Buenos Aires, once again! Upon arrival, check-in to your hotel, then do some exploring. Check out new sites, or pay another visit to your favorites!
